Castle Hills PD Takes Delivery of 5 Dodge Chargers

Siddons Fire Apparatus Breaks Ground on New Facility in Kirby, TX
Monday, January 26, 2009 - Siddons Fire Apparatus has begun construction of our new 21,000 sq. ft. service and manufacturing facility in Kirby.  Construction is expected for approximately 5 months.  The new facility will be home to a 9-bay service center centrally located in Bexar county and new home to our expanded manufacturing facility building Skeeter Brush Trucks. 

 

Harris County ESD 1 Takes Delivery of 5 Life Line High Liners
Monday, January 5, 2009 - We are excited to announce that Harris County ESD 1 in north Houston has taken delivery of five new Life Line Highliner ambulances.  Units are mounted on the Chevrolet C4500 chassis and are loaded with the latest options for emergency  patient care.  ESD 1 covers approximately 176 square miles with a population of just over 500,000 people.

 

Jerry Kneupper joins Siddons Fire Apparatus, Inc. Manufacturing Division
Wednesday, July 30, 2008 - We are excited to announce that Jerry Kneupper and manufacturing team have joined forces with  Siddons Fire Apparatus to become Siddons Fire Apparatus, Inc. Manufacturing Division.  The new division will manufacture the Siddons Skeeter Brush Truck line out of their temporary facility at  5510 Binz-Englemann Rd in Kirby, Texas.  A new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is planned for completion in early 2009.  

"We welcome Jerry Kneupper's knowledge and expertise in the design of a quality brush truck body capable of meeting the needs of South Texas Wildland firefighting, the Texas Hill Country's off-road terrain as well as far west Texas' brush and sand."  The newly named Skeeter Step-Side Brush Body comes from the many years of proven design and testing brought by Jerry and his team."

Pat Siddons believes this significant manufacturing addition to our  family of products and services sets Siddons Fire Apparatus further ahead of the Texas competition.  "We now have the ability to provide complete product lines of equipment and services throughout Texas as a sole-source provider of high quality emergency vehicles, protecting Texas since 1998. Siddons Fire Apparatus Co-Sponsors Firefighter Appreciation Dinner
July 20, 2008  -  Siddons Fire Apparatus co-sponsored a firefighter appreciation dinner following registration and expo at the TEEX 77th Annual Texas Municipal Fire School in College Station, TX.    A catfish dinner was served to everyone from 6-8pm on Sunday at the Texas Hall of Fame near Brayton Fire Training Field.  Additionally, multiple new Pierce stock trucks were donated for use at no cost for the week-long training.  TEEX is recognized as the world's premier emergency services training institute and more than 2,500 firefighters registered for the event.

 

Jeff Resch, Pierce Manufacturing Recognizes Siddons Fire Apparatus 10th Anniversary
June 1, 2008 marked the 10th anniversary of Siddons Fire Apparatus.  Ten years ago, Pat Siddons's company started with Pat, Wayne and Gil, or as Pat would say “three men and a cell phone”, and not much more than that.  Since then, Pat and his team have taken a territory which used to harvest 6 trucks a year, to one that has averaged 40 trucks a year over the last ten years, and 60 trucks a year over the past three years.  Pat’s team has become the primary supplier of equipment in major metropolitan areas in Central, South and West Texas such as; Austin, San Antonio, Waco, and Midland / Odessa.  Pat’s staff has gone from a total of 3 members, to a team comprised of almost 40.  Siddons also has a very well established sales and service facility in Manor Texas, and is expanding their coverage in Kirby, as well as the Coastal Bend and Lower Rio Grande Valley.  Congratulations to Pat Siddons and his team!

 

Harris County Emergency Services District 1 Orders 5 Life Line Highliner Ambulances
December 2, 2007  -  Harris County ESD 1 provides emergency medical services to the unincorporated areas of North Harris County surrounding the City of Houston.  These highly customized Mobile Intensive Care Units are spec'd with the industries leading emergency medical transport equipment and are mounted on the Chevrolet C4500 chassis with air-ride suspension.  This represents a second order by Harris County ESD 1 for the Life Line Highliner.  Contact our sales representative Don Stamps  for a demonstration.

 

Pierce Awards Siddons Fire Apparatus with 2007 Platinum Dealer Award
October 25, 2007  -  Pierce Manufacturing evaluates their dealers annually on several aspects of our business.  Dealers are graded on their performance in sales based on goal achievement, market share, sales resources, promotions, support and training.  The service center is graded on support, training, territory coverage, business systems, and related criteria.  For the second consecutive year, Pierce has bestowed the elite state of Platinum Dealer in Sales & Service.  Oshkosh Truck Corporation is the parent company of Pierce Manufacturing.

 

Austin Fire Department Orders 7 Pumpers and 2 Aerials
October 19, 2007  -  City of Austin has placed an order for 5 Pierce Quantum Pumpers, 2 Pierce Quantum Foam Pumpers, 1 Pierce Velocity Heavy-Duty Ladder, and 1 Pierce Quantum Heavy-Duty Ladder.  The new order was purchased under the TASB BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Contract.  Units are expected to begin delivery in early May 2008.

 

Siddons Opens New Installation Facility In Houston
July 6, 2007  -  Siddons Fire Apparatus has moved our business office to expand our service offerings in emergency vehicle installation to the Houston Area market.  A newly renovated 7,500 sq. ft. facility in north Houston is now open to install emergency vehicle equipment to emergency and public services.  The new facility is located at 1443A Aldine Bender Rd.  View our Law Enforcement Sales & Service Brochure

 

US Postal Service Awards Emergency Equipment Contract to Siddons Fire Apparatus
May 16, 2007  -  Siddons Fire Apparatus has been awarded a contract with the United States Postal Service to provide and install emergency vehicle equipment to more than 60 police vehicles throughout Texas and Louisiana.  The vehicles will be upgraded to provide the latest in emergency warning technology, including LED lights and hide-away strobes.  The project will be completed by Fall 2007.  Contact Carl Spriegel for more information or further details.

Siddons Fire Apparatus Adds Police Cars to Their Line of Emergency Vehicles
January 15, 2007  -  Siddons Fire Apparatus (SFA) expands their product line to offer the services of outfitting police cars with basic and advanced emergency equipment to fleets of any size.  Managed by Carl Spriegel, a detective with the City of San Marcos, SFA stands ready to provide quality installation of emergency equipment, radios, prisoner cages, push bumpers, radar and video equipment as a short list of the many options available.  Most equipment will be installed out in the satellite installation facility in San Antonio, TX.  SFA is fully insured and warrants the installation of all equipment and as an OEM distributor for most major emergency equipment providers, SFA will offer an economical service solution to law enforcement agencies of Texas.

 

San Antonio Begins Acceptance on First of Nineteen Custom Pumpers
December 8, 2006  -  The City of San Antonio has begun acceptance on the first five of nineteen custom pumpers built by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, WI.  The order includes three aluminum bodied pumpers mounted on the custom Pierce Enforcer chassis and sixteen aluminum bodied pumpers mounted on the custom Pierce Quantum chassis.  Units are equipped with Waterous 1500 gpm top-control pumps and Hercules Compressed Air Foam Systems.  The remainder of the order will delivery through March, 2007.

 

Siddons Fire Apparatus to Host Comedy Night at Southwest Fire Rescue
November 17, 2006  -  Siddons Fire Apparatus will host and sponsor Comedy Night at their service center in Manor on Monday, March 19th from 6-10pm during
Southwest Fire Rescue in Austin.  Chartered buses will chauffer conference attendees to the event free of charge and provide a deliciously cooked catfish dinner prepared by the Texas Firehouse Kitchen.  Frozen margaritas and beer will be served and the evening will close with an entertaining performance by a popular comedian.  A variety of apparatus will be on display and other equipment vendors are scheduled to be on hand to display products and answer questions.   Siddons Fire Apparatus is celebrating our ninth anniversary to the fire service of Texas.  We hope all conference attendees plan to attend our special night of appreciation and entertainment.
